Veronica Falls @ Octernal Fest
A couple of weeks back I went out to the annual Leeds arts festival Light Night.
It was refreshing to get out with my camera, in tow with a few friends and be able to do some personal reportage work without needing to fulfil a brief.
Nights like this remind me I need to get out and do more personal work and mini-projects.

I think these shots highlight how a good use of natural light can sometimes work just as well if not better than studio lighting.

This image didn’t make the final cut for this years Vidal Sassoon Soiree Shoot.
I think that says a lot about our final 5 images.
On Sunday I had my first Wedding Fair experience and I’m glad to say it was a great day with lots of interest in our stall.
You can read a little more about it at my 83Weddings blog linked below:
Caught this little fella in the park today while I was out shooting an altogether different brief.
I’m not much of a nature photographer but it was an opportunity to get a great shot for my personal work.
I’ve been featured in ‘Real Weddings’ on the Belle Bridal Website.

I was searching through my archive for one thing or another and came across this fun little GIF.
I’m just getting into this years wedding season with bookings fast approaching, so it was apt that this popped up as reminder of wedding seasons past.
www.83photography.co.uk has been spruced up with a new look.
www.83weddings.co.uk is the new direct URL to get to the Wedding section of my website without needing to go through 83Photography.co.uk
Take a look, spread the word…..
Just received my developed film in the post from my trip to South America.
With a few gems in there this one caught my eye. Christmas Eve on the beach with my other half in Mancora, Peru.
A Christmas I will never forget.
Shot with my Holga on E6 120 slide film.
I’ve just started the mammoth task of sorting through and starting post-production on all my photos from 10 weeks of travelling around South America.
This could take a while……..
While shooting at Big Nicks Bakery this little terror turned up after school to see her Dad at work and was eager to show us her tiger impression.
Working at Big Nicks Bakery again today, shooting cupcakes for Mothers Day.
Had a bit less of a scab setup this time making post production much easier!
